WINELANDS FULL-DAY TOUR

Our Winelands Full Day Tour takes you on a journey through the ever-famous wine route encompassing Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Savour the wines of up to 4 wine estates and see the fabulous Cape Dutch architecture for which the region is famous.

A visit to the university includes a town orientation tour in the Winelands town of Stellenbosch and we get to stop by one of the oldest shops in the country. An opportunity for lunch at one of the street cafes and an optional visit to the village museum to see what life was like here for the early Dutch settlers.

ITINERARY

We start the day with pick up from your hotel at 09:00 am by one of our knowledgeable tour guides.

The wineries we visit will be decided on the day of this informal wine tasting tour, and with more than 300 wine estates in the Cape Winelands region and with no two alike, there is something for everyone’s pallet and more. With the help of the sommelier, the novice wine enthusiast will have the opportunity to sample an assortment of fine wines and hopefully discover their wine of choice.

Not only will we get to learn about the history of wine and how it was introduced into South Africa, but also harvesting time, harvesting methods and what happens to the grapes when they go into the wine cellar. For the more knowledgeable wine drinker, there is an opportunity to discover new South African wines and compare the with wines from other countries like America and Europe.

The Cape Winelands is not just about wine. One of the wine estates boasts a motor car museum that is arguably the finest in the southern hemisphere. While the car enthusiasts visit the museum (entry fee not included), the rest of us will wait for them in the tasting room enjoying more wine. All this couple with the unique beauty of the Cape Winelands makes for a fabulous and memorable experience.

This is where your full-day Winelands tour comes to an end and at around 5:30 P.M. we make our way back to your hotel for drop off.
