From here you’ll relish our complimentary mini city trip where we’ll drive by some of the important historical landmarks of the city and a quick stop at the popular Bo Kaap to witness the vibrant colorful houses which exist there. The electrifying town of Bo Kaap is placed on the slopes of Signal Hill above the city center embracing the Cape Malay culture. From here we will visit the Noonday gun on Signal Hill. With a great tradition of firing the cannon every day at 12 noon. Operated and performed by the South African navy, as the officer tells the history of this worlds longest firing gun tradition in the world.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to the Robben Island where we join a guided tour executed by an ex political prisoner of the island. During this island visit, the Lime Quarry where prisoners toiled hard, the Maximum Security Prison, and a sighting of Mandela's cell. And a drive around the small island.
